Formation

Any young woman desiring to be a Sister of the Most Holy Soul of Christ between the ages of 18 and 30 is invited.

There are four steps of religious formation:

  1. Postulate -- a period of 6 month to 2 years for the purpose of making the transition from life in the secular world to the religious life.
  2. Novitiate -- a period of two years of novitiate to help young woman grow in their love for Christ as they learn about the nature of the vows and religious life.
  3. Temporary Vows -- a profession by the Sister to the vows of chastity, poverty and obedience to God for one year, and renewal of their vows one year at a time for five years or longer depending on their readiness to vow perpetually.
  4. Perpetual Vows -- a dedication of the Sisters to God and to the Congregation for the entire life in their profession of perpetual vows
